The vision for Wales Week
Launching in 2025, Wales Week Ireland is a brand-new initiative celebrating Wales and strengthening ties with Ireland. Inspired by the success of Wales Week London, this inaugural year marks the start of an exciting annual programme.
Held around St David’s Day, it will showcase Welsh culture, business, and innovation, offering organisations the chance to promote their work, reach new audiences, and build valuable partnerships.
This is just the beginning, we look forward to making Wales Week Ireland a key event in the calendar, celebrating Wales louder and prouder each year!
The journey so far
Wales Week Ireland launches in 2025, building on the incredible success of the Wales Week initiative, which first began with Wales Week London in 2017.
Since then, Wales Week London has grown year on year, expanding from 56 events in its first year to over 130 activities and events in 2024, ensuring that Wales is showcased on a grand scale each year. Even during the challenges of the pandemic, the initiative adapted and continued to thrive.
This is just the beginning, and we look forward to making Wales Week Ireland a celebration to remember!

Over the years, Wales Week has brought together some of Wales’ most influential figures, leading brands, and world-renowned institutions to celebrate and showcase Wales on an international stage.
From sporting legends and political leaders to global businesses and cultural icons, Wales Week events have been hosted in some of the most prestigious venues and supported by an incredible network of partners.
As we launch Wales Week Ireland, we look forward to forging new partnerships and welcoming distinguished Welsh and Irish figures, businesses, and cultural organisations into this exciting initiative. This is just the start. Together, we’ll make Wales Week Ireland a lasting success.
Continuing to build momentum
As Wales Week continues to gather increasing interest, so too it does across the world. Over the years other Wales Weeks have been held in locations such as Paris, Melbourne, New York, Essex, Ohio, Newcastle, Pittsburg, Berkshire, Dublin, British Columbia, Germany, Kansas, New England, Detroit, Hungary, Osaka, Iran, Malta, Kyrgyzstan, NE England, NW England and now Ireland. Over the next few years, we could have many more Wales Weeks taking place simultaneously across the world!
